L.O.V.E.S Kitchen
Miss Fanny was a blessing to us that worked at the soup kitchen. She had words of encouragement to each homeless person that we fed. She made me realize how we great each other is a give to the other person.

Jubilee shirt
This T-shirt is being sold by the youth at Jubilee to raise funds. Several were purchased by 8th streeters. It has become our unofficial motto for the week. Since we all love each other we are searching for the list of "multitude of sins".

Sunday Evening
Sunday Afternoon
While a few of us stayed at Paul and Lisa Shelly’s to watch the Tivo’d Pats and Ravens playoff game. (Thanks to the Shellys for their wonderful hospitality!) Jerry and I, Jonathan, enjoyed a round of disc golf at the Pine Lake Camp’s 18 hole disc golf course. Well, I enjoyed being out in nature, breathing the cool earthy air, climbing up and down the rolling course, and talking with Jerry. I didn’t golf very well – in fact I stopped counting about half-way through! We both renamed hole # 12 that ends at the top of a very steep hill side: I lost count of how many tosses ended up rolling back down the hill to end up within a couple of feet of where I started! Grrr!!! … It was a good day!
Sunday Pot-luck
I, Jonathan, sat with several people who are new to Jubilee: Ambrose, Pok, and ??. They came to Jubilee late last year. They moved in from northern Florida, having completed a drug treatment/addiction program there. They now live in a house across from the church. As we shared with each other over the tasty potluck, I could see God in their lives as they live their recovery, one day at a time. I was blessed to share a meal – breaking bread - with them. I saw God today!
Sunday Morning
This morning we attended Jubilee Mennonite Church; a church about half the attendance of an average Eighth Street morning. However, there were many more children than at ESMC. In fact, Pastor Duane said during a Q&A session that he could, “count on one hand the number of attenders at Jubilee that were older than he was … and still have fingers left over!”
We worshipped with this vibrant, younger congregation by singing praise songs, listening to children’s time by Kevin “KJ” Jaberg, Scripture reading by Patty Yoder and Jonathan Schrag, and the Sermon by Kevin “Preacher” Farmwald. We then were blessed to share Communion with this sister congregation. Dale Way, Carolyn Shetler, and Kevin assisted Miss Elaine, Pastor Duane, and Joel Beachy with the bread, juice, crackers, and grapes. I loved being able to experience a different way of worshipping and communing with God’s people. Bless their hearts.
It was also great to finally meet Miss Fannie who was visiting this Sunday due to our presence! Bless her soul!
We are here!
Arrived at Pine Lake Camp about 7:30 Meridian time (8:30 Goshen). Trip went well although after 14 hours in the bus, after a meal people retired for the evening.
